Well then, welcome to the Self-Trainer Guide, a guide that will provide you with knowledge, strategy, and examples for how to set a goal and create a training program to achieve it. This guide includes basic training principles, information on specific types of training, and tips that I’ve learned through my own experience in strength and endurance training, all in one place.

This information outlines what general physical preparedness (GPP) is, why it's important to include in your training and when, and how specific workouts to incorporate it into your training.

This program is for beginner to intermediate athletes training for a triathlon at any distance (sprint, olympic, 70.3, or 140.6).

This program provides a five-week training plan to begin to get better at running. After 5 weeks, you
will be able run for 30 minutes without walking! This program is for beginners who are new and are interested to get into running.

This program provides a five-week training plan to begin preparing for a marathon. This program is for beginners who are new and are interested to complete a marathon. After the 5 weeks, you can continue the training program by applying the same progressions used in the first 5 weeks.
